I currently serve as a full professor at Wartburg College, teaching in the area of Organizational & Public Relations, as well as serving as a leadership fellow in the college’s Institute for Leadership Education.
Prior to my life on campus, I held numerous management and leadership positions in both business and education.
Once I decided to teach full-time, I was fortunate enough to be able to conduct in-depth research on many four and five-star service providers, companies like Ritz-Carlton, Disney, Four Seasons, and Starbucks, in addition to serving many local and regional organizations over the years.
When I can, I continue to speak and workshop others in the areas of public relations, quality customer service, organizational change, and leadership. I’ve served many governing boards over the years, including two terms on the board of directors for Iowa Public Television.
I have been happily married for over 30 years to Linda and have two wonderful kids, Andrew, who, along with his wife Elle, live in Norwalk, Iowa, and Emma, currently studying at Luther College. I’ve lived in Waverly, Iowa ever since joining Wartburg College nearly 20 years ago.
